EVERY PLACE is a live mark-making performance presented at Auckland Fringe Festival 2024. The work explores belonging through a migrant lens using Chinese calligraphy ink, movement, props and gesture. Rooted in the Chinese folktale of Pangu and the creation of the world, the performance considers the relationship between mark-making, oral storytelling and migratory belonging. Documented in collaboration with cinematographer Nick Willoughby, with live soundscape by 花溪Flowerstream and additional sound work by Jefferson Chen (Goodspace)
