Now You See Me 如梦初醒 (2024)

Now You See Me 如梦初醒 is a moving image work exploring diasporic visibility, belonging and representation through shifting presence. Inspired by journal entries 1–9 by Zed Xu 榛子瞬, the work was created in Aotearoa New Zealand in collaboration with photographer Karen Ishiguro and cinematographer Jackson Doudney, with a predominantly Asian cast and crew. Original score by Jefferson Chen (Goodspace), featuring guzheng performance by Zed.
